Grace Rose lived from 1887 to 1981. She was born in Michigan and lived there most of her life. This is a transcription of her diary written in 1908, the year she turned 21. Mrs Brands and Leah Eveleth came up in evening. Papa and I drove Dan downtown after supper. Harry Hawkins had his raising in afternoon. Rained in p.m. Rec'd W.F.C.'s letter and ans'd it. Poor fellow, he says he is falling yet. Ha! Ha!
