Grace Rose lived from 1887 to 1981. She was born in Michigan and lived there most of her life. This is a transcription of her diary written in 1908, the year she turned 21. Mrs Gilbert came over and stayed with Mama while I went over to Owosso to see Cole Bros. parade. Hope, Hazel, Hattie, and I had a great time. Walked home and blistered my heels. Got here at 2 p.m.
