Grace Rose lived from 1887 to 1981. She was born in Michigan and lived there most of her life. This is a transcription of her diary written in 1908, the year she turned 21. Aunt Mary and Uncle Theo up all day. Earl came towards night. We had sort of an understanding in evening which nearly proved fatal but is all right now. Cannot tell how long it will last. Awful cold.
