Grace Rose lived from 1887 to 1981. She was born in Michigan and lived there most of her life. This is a transcription of her diary written in 1908, the year she turned 21. Walked downtown in p.m. and went to the club at Romaine's. It was her birthday and we gave her a souvenir spoon. Had a dandy time. Awful wet and sloppy. Stayed at Belle's all night.
