Grace Rose lived from 1887 to 1981. She was born in Michigan and lived there most of her life. This is a transcription of her diary written in 1908, the year she turned 21. Awful warm all day. Earl D. called up and asked if I wanted to go to the party. Papa went downtown after supper and I helped Harry Hawkins drive his horses out of our yard.
