Grace Rose lived from 1887 to 1981. She was born in Michigan and lived there most of her life. This is a transcription of her diary written in 1908, the year she turned 21. Papa was downtown nearly all day. Ironed. Mama was some better during the day but got worse toward evening. Mrs Gilbert, Salem, and Ernest up in evening also Earl but he went home early on account of not feeling good.
