Grace Rose lived from 1887 to 1981. She was born in Michigan and lived there most of her life. This is a transcription of her diary written in 1908, the year she turned 21. Mama took Meal downtown in a.m. and stayed all day. Mertie came home with Mama and stayed all night. Walter Hatch came up to talk about Martha. Quite confidential.
